Intermediate / Senior Developer

The development team is responsible for all new product development, software fixes, and updates to the ROAM service offering.

The Intermediate / Senior Developer is a key member of the software development team and assists in the development of customer driven software requirements through all stages of the product development lifecycle. This role requires excellent troubleshooting ability and a solid understanding of complex information technology systems. 

The Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing and supporting AnyWare Group's managed service. The primary responsibility will be to use object oriented development principles to build features on AnyWare Group's scaleable, high-performance application framework using JAVA and other industry leading software development tools.

Applicants should have the following skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, or computer science or equivalent.
  • Five or more years experience working in a cross functional team environment in the delivery of complex applications.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking Technical Architects for full time and contract work with AnyWare Group and its customers throughout Atlantic Canada, Ontario and the U.S.

The Technical Architect will work at a senior management level to define and deliver major technical projects, strategies and architectures, demonstrating an understanding of the organization’s business and commercial issues and contribute key insights. This person will be responsible for the architecture and evolution of a number of different enterprise systems that utilize a mixture of new n-tier, web-based technologies to older legacy mainframe systems.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts for full time and contract work with AnyWare Group and its customers throughout Atlantic Canada, Ontario and the U.S.

The Business Analyst (BA) has the primary responsibility to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the real needs of the project stakeholders. A BA is involved at different levels throughout a project life cycle. Upon establishment of the requirements, the focus is shifted towards the management of the requirements specification and verifying the fulfillment of all requirements.

The Business Analyst is primarily responsible for (1) analyzing, developing and documenting business group requirements and translating those requirements into IT solutions to solve business issues and/or needs (2) providing assistance to business managers in the development of Business Cases to support their requirements and (3) acting as the interface between the business and the Project Team for the all project phases ensuring that project requirements and deliverables meet the business group's expectations.

Job Responsibities:

  • Provide in-depth system and program analysis in all phases of project management.
  • Work with the business owner(s) to document the project requirements.

Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Description:

We are currently seeking Quality Assurance Analysts for full time and contract work with AnyWare Group and its customers throughout Atlantic Canada, Ontario and the U.S.

The Quality Assurance Analyst (QAA) is responsible for testing applications and verifying that the functionality of the application conforms to the business requirements and system design specifications for the application. The QAA participates in activities related to consulting with end users to determine the scope and objectives of proposed programs or program enhancements, assisting with identifying requirements utilizing end user feedback; participate in the activities involved in the quality resolution of issues or concerns related to system testing and end user issues following through to completion and communicating resolution results to development team. The QAA may be called on to use automated tools such as WinRunner, Test Director, LoadRunner, Rational Robot and Rational Functional Tester.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers, product managers and other technical team members to define and run real-world/customer technical, functional and integration use cases.
  • Responsible for designing, developing and executing manual and automated test plans, cases and scripts for product functionality including but not limited to maintenance, integration, usability, security, performance and regression for moderately to extremely complex software projects.
  • Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures, decision flows and design patterns and describes requirements in terms of Analysis and Design Models.
  • Responsible for the population of a test environment such that a complete suite of tests can be applied.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience - OR - a Programming Certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum three years experience in business operations with an emphasis on testing or process/procedural documentation.
  • Minimum two years programming experience using a standard coding language (e.g., Java, C, C++, HTML, PERL, SQL, Visual Basic, COBOL, etc.) OR Minimum two years experience with a testing tool platform (e.g., WinRunner, Test Director, LoadRunner, Rational Robot, etc.).

Job Description:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading a project team in delivering a solution to the customer on schedule and within budget. The PM has overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying project management methodologies for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management. They are responsible for managing all project resources, including subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the customer.

Job Responsibities:

  • Responsible for the management of technical project(s) or program teams from initiation through implementation to deliver projects on time and within budget to the customer’s satisfaction. Work items include planning, analysis, estimating, design development, implementation and tracking.
  • Identify key stakeholders and gain their active participation; maintain multi-functional team relationships both inside and outside of the organization.

The Programmer Analyst (PA) is responsible for conducting detailed design, development and testing software using various development environments in small projects or on subsystems of larger projects within a corporate environment.

Job Responsibities:

  • Translate design requirements and specifications into quality implementations using various technologies including C++, .NET, Java, Oracle, Cognos and scripting languages.
  • Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Perform analysis of requirements and turn into detail software design.
  • Maintain source and object code and reusable component software libraries.
  • Use various techniques and tools such as PL/SQL, KORN Shell and database utilities to extract, transform and load data from and to various database tables.

Network Systems Engineer

The Network Systems Engineer (SE) is responsible for providing engineering, design and support for AnyWare Group’s networking solutions to its customers and partners.

Job Responsibities:

  • Engineer, design and document network solutions for the ROAM service.
  • Work with internal staff and external customers to create unique solutions to networking requests and problems.
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Provide support in resolving network problems either on-site or remotely.
  • Capacity planning for service infrastructure.
  • Traffic engineering and troubleshooting on TCP/IP based networks.
  • Effectively identify and communicate risks to other team members and management during the course of projects.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers education and training in areas of computer and network systems.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a network and/or security engineering role with proven experience in enterprise network architecture, management, capacity planning & monitoring.
