Embedded Security Agent
ROAM's Embedded Security Agent — ESA — is a clientless security agent that manages the secure encryped tunnels between your users and your applications. Because it is clientless, there are no downloads or configuration issues to consider. It is "seamless" for your users and "touchless" for your IT department.
This dynamic security agent secures communications between a remote user’s PC and your internal business systems. Once established, the ESA is embedded in the ROAM desktop and remains open until the user session is ended.
The ESA uses “SSL VPN” (Secure Socket Layer Virtual Private Network) technology to create the encrypted tunnels across the Internet to individual applications or systems. This is the same technology used by the government, the banking industry and other major corporations to secure sensitive data. This clientless approach permits users to travel and use any Internet connected workstation to securely access their sensitive information without fear of interception.
End Point Control
ROAM End Point Control (EPC) provides an extra level of protection and secures corporate information systems from end points that do not meet corporate policies.
EPC ensure that devices accessing confidential data are secured by antivirus software with updated virus definitions, a personal firewall, and critical service packs. This verification ensures that the corporate network won't be compromised by endpoints accessing the protected portal.
EPC Cache Cleaner ensures that web browser information such as cookies, history, auto-complete, stored passwords, and temporary files are erased upon termination of the session, inactivity timeout, or closing of the browser.

- Customer defines their own security policy. EPC policy is then built based on customer’s policy.
